Halloweenie Pictures

A little late but I haz lazy lately.

My lovely (and I say this literally, she really is lovely--looking, personality, figure..LOVELY) sister in law passed along my moms halloween decorations since my teen nieces are sort of beyond all that. They are PERFECT for my little gobblin, erm, Grace. You guys, I almost teared up seeing them around my house because I loved them so much as a kid. Andrea and I used to beg my mom to turn on the haunted house and we would set up bean bag chairs (yes, BEAN BAG chairs were part of my parents living room furniture in the very early 80's) and we would pretend to be scared and RUN like hell and dive into the chairs. So excited that Gracie can grow up with them too--(the decorations, NOT the bean bag chairs)

I've also attached our front porch "decked" (pun intended, har har) for the fall a picture of my little Madeline===SQUEE! ;)

Not Crafting related

Have you ever been in the car with me? Have you ever been in the car with me for a long time?

No?

let me give you a visual:

No Sew--Shit, i want a piece of that!

We painted our kitchen a few weeks ago. It went from Mustard Yellow to Crypt Keeper grey. (ok, those aren't really the names but you aren't going to make me put down my wine to go read the paint cans are you??)

I needed new curtains and I wanted to make them. You guys, the last time I tried to sew ANYTHING it was a pillow in 7th grade home ec class with Miss Currier (talk about the crypt keeper). I spent the 41 min period block sewing the "pillow" to my jeans.

I bought some no sew tape stuff and 10,000 yards of fabric (my darling friend tried to help me figure out the math. It was easier to spend as much money on fabric as it would have cost me to have curtains made. custom. custom made in Italy. Custom made in Italy and spun from pure unicorn dust.

Wicked crappy picture, I'll take another one when I have to get up for more wine.
